Moto X3M Tips: Controls, Landings & Faster Runs

Improve your Moto X3M runs with tips for braking, bike balance and cleaner landings. Learn a repeatable approach before adding flips for faster times.

Make the first run a scouting run

Use your first attempt to learn the course rather than trying to maximize speed. Notice the shape of each ramp, the room available after a jump and any moving hazards near the landing. A run that reveals the next obstacle is useful even when the time is slow.

The acceleration and brake inputs do different jobs from leaning. Treat speed as a choice you make before the ramp, then use lean to manage the bike in the air. Trying to fix too much speed with rotation alone makes the landing harder to predict.

Give yourself a repeatable landing

Watch the bike’s angle relative to the ground it will touch. A steep landing slope asks for a different orientation from a flat platform. Make a small lean correction early, then observe how far the bike continues rotating before adding another input.

If you fail a jump repeatedly, change just one thing on the next attempt. Try a shorter acceleration window, an earlier brake or a smaller rotation. Changing every input at once makes it difficult to tell what helped. A checkpoint is a convenient place to practice a consistent approach.

Add tricks only after the route feels familiar

Flips can improve a timed run, but an unnecessary crash can erase the benefit. Start by identifying jumps that give you a comfortable amount of air time. Practice the same direction of rotation until you can finish it with room left to line up the landing.

Once you can finish the track cleanly, improve one section at a time. Keep the safe route through sections you have not practiced. That gives you a useful comparison between attempts instead of a series of all-or-nothing runs. Controls and scoring can vary between versions, so check the instructions inside the player before you start.
