Current service status
All public name generators run in your browser and are free with no account or generation quota. The site also lists browser games hosted by third-party providers. These games load after you choose Play, and providers may show ads or offer optional accounts and purchases. For questions about the service, contact Privacy and legal inquiries.
About this policy
This policy explains how personal information is handled when you use GamerTag. For privacy questions or requests, contact Privacy and legal inquiries.
Information we collect
Information you provide
Your starting word, game, style and platform settings are processed in your browser to generate name ideas. The public generator does not send your starting word or generated names to an AI provider or an account database. Avoid using sensitive personal information in a public gaming name.
If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address and message.
Information collected through use
Hosting providers may process IP addresses, browser and device information, request timestamps and diagnostic logs to deliver the site. Google Analytics records website usage and tool interaction events.
How we use information
We use website delivery and diagnostic information to operate the service, respond to support requests, investigate misuse and understand tool usage. Where data protection law requires a lawful basis, processing depends on the purpose and applicable requirements: service delivery, legitimate interests, legal obligations or consent where required.
Reading this policy does not itself constitute consent to optional processing. The current website does not provide an in-product cookie preference center.
Data security
Name generation runs in your browser. The public website does not collect passwords or payment card information. We use hosting and application controls to support website security.
No storage or transmission system is completely secure. Do not include credentials or sensitive personal information in support messages. We will assess security incidents and provide notices to affected people and authorities within the time limits required by applicable law.
Data retention
We retain support correspondence for up to two years after resolution, unless a legal obligation or unresolved dispute requires longer retention. Application-controlled diagnostic logs are retained for up to 90 days, unless needed to investigate an incident.
Third-party hosting and analytics records follow provider retention schedules and applicable obligations. Contact us for details or to request access, correction or deletion of information we hold.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may request access to and a copy of your personal information; correction; deletion; restriction of processing; data portability; objection to processing based on legitimate interests; and withdrawal of consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Use the privacy contact in the contact section to make a request. We may verify identity before releasing or changing information. We aim to respond within 30 calendar days, or any shorter deadline required by applicable law, and explain any permitted extension or exception, including information retained for legal obligations. You may complain to your local data protection authority.
Where applicable, California residents may also have rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, and receive equal service when exercising privacy rights. We do not sell personal information for money. Our Google Analytics integration shares website usage data with Google as described in the cookies and browser storage section; you can use browser controls and the Google Analytics opt-out add-on to limit this collection.
Service and marketing communications
The current product does not offer a marketing subscription or marketing settings switch. If optional marketing is introduced, we will explain the purpose, obtain consent where required and provide an unsubscribe method. We use information you provide in support messages to respond to your request.
International processing
Our hosting and analytics providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States. Privacy protections may differ between countries.
Where applicable law requires safeguards for a transfer, we use the transfer mechanisms provided under the relevant service-provider arrangements, or another legally available basis. Contact us for information about the providers and safeguards applicable to your data.
Children’s privacy
The service is intended for users aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided information, contact the operator so the information can be investigated and removed as appropriate.
Embedded games and third-party links
When you press Play, an embedded game connects directly to CrazyGames and its game partners. They may receive your IP address, device information and browser data, and may use cookies or local storage under their own policies. Review CrazyGames’ privacy policy. Games do not load before you choose to start them. External gaming platforms and other linked services have their own privacy practices. Review the policies of Google when using their services. This policy describes GamerTag’s processing and does not replace third-party policies.
Changes to this policy
We will update the date and version when this policy changes. Material changes will be communicated through a website notice where appropriate and required. We will obtain additional consent where required.
